Terms of Service

    Effective date: August 30, 2026

    1. The service

StreamVault provides video hosting: upload, encoding, adaptive streaming, players, access controls (including domain whitelisting, signed URLs, email gates, member logins, and optional studio DRM), channels, and analytics. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use StreamVault on behalf of a company, you represent that you can bind that company.

    2. Accounts and trials

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. New accounts receive a 7-day Starter-level trial with no payment method required. When the trial ends without a paid plan, new uploads pause; your existing videos remain stored and playable under free-tier limits. We may remove content of accounts that remain unpaid for an extended period after notice.

    3. Plans, billing, and metered usage

Paid plans bill monthly or yearly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). Each plan includes storage, monthly streaming bandwidth, and — where enabled — a monthly allowance of DRM playback licenses. Metered usage beyond your allowance is billed in arrears on your next invoice at the published rates (currently $8 per TB of bandwidth over allowance and $6 per 1,000 DRM plays over allowance) only if you have enabled overage billing. If overage billing is off, service is instead limited when allowances are exhausted, as described below. Published prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; price changes never apply retroactively.

    4. Fair-use enforcement

We notify you by email as you approach your monthly allowances (at roughly 80%, 90%, and 100%). If your account exceeds its bandwidth allowance plus a courtesy buffer and overage billing is not enabled, streaming of your videos may be paused after a 48-hour grace window until the cycle resets, you upgrade, or you enable overage billing. Likewise, issuing of new DRM licenses stops at your included quota unless DRM overage billing is enabled. Uploads may also be paused while an account is over its allowance or its subscription is unpaid. Enforcement is automatic and lifts automatically once the condition clears.

    5. Payment failures and cancellation

If a renewal payment fails, we retry per our processor's schedule and email you. During this past-due window your content keeps streaming; uploads may be limited. Subscriptions unpaid after the retry window are canceled. You can cancel any time from the billing page; cancellation stops future charges and your plan runs to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

    6. Your content

You retain all rights to the videos and materials you upload. You grant us the limited licenses needed to host, encode, cache, stream, and display them at your direction. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload and for how you use viewer data collected through your gates and CTAs. We may remove content that we reasonably believe is illegal, infringes others' rights, or abuses the platform (including malware, CSAM, or content uploaded to defraud), and will notify you unless legally prevented.

    7. Content protection and DRM

Watermarking, screen-capture deterrence, signed URLs, and studio DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) materially raise the difficulty of unauthorized copying, but no protection technology can guarantee that determined attackers cannot capture content. We provide these features as-is and are not liable for piracy of your content.

    8. Acceptable use

You may not use StreamVault to host or distribute illegal content; infringe intellectual property; distribute malware; harass; send spam using collected viewer emails; probe, overload, or circumvent the platform's security, metering, or billing; or resell the service as your own without an agreement with us. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.

    9. Availability

We target 99.9% monthly availability for streaming and design the platform on redundant global infrastructure, but the service is provided without a contractual uptime guarantee unless you have a separate written SLA with us. We may perform maintenance and will aim to schedule disruptive maintenance outside peak hours.

    10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

    11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming — except that if you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction whose law grants you non-waivable protections, those protections still apply to you.
